Hash Narrative:

The Annual Pool Run! The pack gathered, masks round arms, as the hares explained the markings using a miniscule amount of flour (everybody hoping they’d used more on trail). Off we went, heading away from the campo, down into El Coto, before doubling back uphill, and round the back of Dipper’s (all locked up and looking run down). It soon became clear that the first stop would be Titanic’s, greeted by unusually nice watermelon cocktail. One of Titanic’s guests did complain about the ‘riff raff’ using the pool!

Next it was a short loop in the campo to approach Frog Hall from a reverse direction and here we were treated to tinto verano. A few hashers managed to squeeze into the plunge pool. Then OnOn around the houses, where the markings disappeared, to be found in the bottom of a ravine, back up, down again, around and more up, to Streaky’s, where we were greeted by delicious pina colada, and a lovely refreshing dip in the pool.

On Home was just around the corner, though the shaded pool didn’t look so inviting and few hashers took the plunge. Another cocktail awaited, along with some kind of cheesey thing.

In the circle, the pack showed their appreciation with some ridiculously high scores, and a few more sensible ones, which averaged out at 9.45 (or was it 9.54?). The RA punished a range of sinners, though not the French mafia who nattered throughout without getting put on ice. One of our new members was named (can’t remember the name, but something to do with being a sexy Swede) SARS ed. She took it in her stride!.

OnOn was at El Bruco, where the staff’s attempt at socially distanced seating was quickly abandoned by the hash. A good 3-course meal + wine + aperitif, all for €15.
