Hares – SpeedBumps and From Behind

At – Guadalmar

After a yellow alert warning for hot weather, only 12 brave hashers turned up for the Run. A big disappointment for the hares who, as all hares have to, hard put a lot of hard work into making the Run happen.

So we set off on the largely wide tracks of the delta of the guadalhorce river. We eventually reached the beach and continued … and continued …. and continued. The eventual Run length was 12 +K, a trifle long in the circumstances. Plus … in order to get to the Beer Stop it was necessary to wade through a fast flowing section of the river as it came out into the sea. The water came up to my neck, but it was never a dangerous situation. Two hashers turned back at this point, daunted by the river crossing. We never got to see them again, they had left by the time we got back.

Sowe proceeded to the circle. No let me be more accurate … to the line.

This was a memorable moment for From Behind as he received his mug and badge for having attended 50 Runs.

Thus to the On On, where those of us went enjoyed a great crack and I personally didn't get home till 12.30.

Directions:
Take the A7 towards Málaga city.

When the motorway splits into 2 bear right and take the exit 225 signposted Torremolinos / Málaga Oeste (west) / Airport.
Take the exit Nº3 signposted MA-23 Aeropuerto (airport) – San Julián / Guadalmar / Villa Rosa
At the exit ramp, please bear left and take the left lane at the split of the road signposted San Julián / Guadalmar / Villa Rosa
At the big roundabout take the 1st exit to your right signposted Guadalmar – Pick up flour markings on the floor from the small Guadalmar roundabout.

Note: take a change of shoes and clothes – possibilities for a dip. Take mosquito repellent!!!!!!!
